Weekly Meetings & Activities

Whatever your interests there are many not for profit organizations on Pine Island.
Below is a list of some of the meetings and activities held on the island, both weekly and monthly. Details can be found on each organizations website.

Kiwanis Club of Greater Pine Island. Every Wednesday at 7:30 am at Fisher of Men’s Lutheran Church, Except the last Wednesday of each month is an evening social at 5:30 pm at a local restaurant.

Pine Island Art Association. Weekly Classes available, schedule varies by season.

Beacon of Hope: Maintains an extensive schedule of weekly activities.

Pine Island Public Library: Children, Teenager and Adult programs weekly

St James Civic Association: Weekly activities for the community. Free activities for children, with parents participation.

• VFW Membership Meeting. 7pm – 8pm (Post Membership)
• Pine Island Boat Club, 5:30 at American legion ( no Sept meet)

First Tuesday

• Greater Pine Island Civic Association 6:30 p.m. First Baptist Church of PI

First Wednesday

• Pine Island Cares, 10am, Beacon of Hope
• Pine Island Gentlemen’s Society (PIGS), Tarpon Lodge

Second Monday

• Matlacha Hookers General Meeting, 6:30pm, different locations.

Second Tuesday

• Elks Meeting, 7:00 p.m. First Baptist Church of PI (until own building complete)
• VFW Planning Board Meeting. 10am ( Open to all)

Second Wednesday

• American Legion Auxiliary, Meets in the evening

Second Friday

• Art Walk in Matlacha

Second Saturday

• Koucky’s Studios Potters Guild Show, Held monthly  Nov through April
• SJCCA: Big Breakfast, Garage Sale, Vendors. 8am.  In Season

Third Monday

• GPICC Board of Directors Meeting, 5:30pm
• Matlacha Civic Association
• SJCCA Monthly Board Meeting, 1pm
  

Third Tuesday

• Calusa Land Trust Board of Directors Meeting, 3:00–5:00 p.m.

Third Wednesday

• American Legion Meeting, 7:00 p.m.

Third Thursday

• Garden Club, 9:00 a.m.

Fourth Tuesday

• Elks Meeting, 7:00 p.m. Except not during July, August, or December. Meetings are at First Baptist Church until the Elks building opens.
